VACATION.....NORRIS LAKE!!!!!

Hi everyone! We leave for vacation in a hour to go to one of the best places on earth...NORRIS LAKE!!!!! I LOVE LAKE!! I really do. I'm so excited and when I get back I will have so much to blog about
1-vacation
2-my first nascar race (wish me luck, I'm not sure what I'm getting myself into)
3-a wedding I second shot last weekend
4-my new nephew who was just born this morning William Guy!!! (all are doing fine)
5-MY NEW WEBSITE!!! That's right folks it will be launching in less than 2 weeks and I can't wait!

Shannon's little ones!

I photographed another one of my best friend from high school's kids a few weeks ago and had so much fun. Taylor and Logan are so cute and just really good kids. We had fun making funny faces, walking to the park and eating a little lunch. Thanks so much Shannon for the wonderful shoot. I can't wait to come back down and take family pictures this fall.

The next picture about broke my heart. Taylor did not want to go to the park she wanted to stay home and play w/ her best friend who was over. She got in a little trouble and was crying, but the got a little hug from her pal and was ready to go. IT WAS SO CUTE!!!

Tag I'm it!

So my friend Lauren of openfield photography www.openfieldphotography.com (I really need to figure out how to add links, sorry) tagged me today and I'm it! It's a blog tag and I'm supposed to share eight interesting facts about me and then tag eight other photographers and so on and so on! So here are my eight fun facts that you may not know about me!!!

1 -My great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great Grandfather came over on the Mayflower (that's 13 generations ago and I think that's the right number, mom correct me if that's wrong) Kinda cool hugh?????

2 -I used to HATE my freckles and have only started to like them in the past few years.

3 -On of my favorite smells is a freezer (strange I know, but just open it up on a hot day and take a deep breath, very refreshing)

4 -I have the coolest dog on the planet!!!! You can sit upstairs in the recliner and tell her to "maggie....go get me a beer" and she goes downstairs to our mini fridge and opens it up, grabs a beer and brings it upstairs to you!!! Really...we have it on video!!! (I will post that sometime next month)

5 -My bad habit is that I bite my lip. I think i've done it since the 6th grade. Just can't stop.

6 -I photographed my first wedding when I was 18 years old.

7 -I AM TERRIFIED OF DRIVING ON BRIDGES!!! If I'm the passenger it's not as bad, however if I have to drive over of a bridge my heart starts to race and I also loose my breath. The reason for this is that I have a reoccurring dream (or nightmare) that I'm driving over a bridge and either it ends and I drive off into the river or whatever...OR I randomly drive off the side and plummet (sp) below. It's very scary!!!

8 -I LOVE MASHED POTATOES!!! Especially the yummy (not instant) garlic kind in restaurants. YUM!!!

LISA AND ERIC!!!

So I shot this "Engagement Session" quite a few weeks ago but there were so many amazing pictures to choose from, that I couldn't get it edited until now. The reason a say "engagment session" is because these two are actually already married. I photographed their wedding a year ago and I knew they'd be a perfect couple for me to work with on practicing my new approach to engagement sessions. Not only are they SUPER NICE, but they love each other so much and are such a gorgeous couple!!!! Thanks again Lisa and Eric! I can't believe your wedding was a year ago already. Hope you love the pictures!!!
